HousingPlus offers transitional supportive housing, which like our permanent supportive housing begins with providing housing and complements that with supportive services to allow participants to gain stability. However, these apartments are provided for a limited time, with a view to transitioning participants into permanent housing when they are ready. Our transition programs currently focus on providing an alternative to detention for women and gender-expansive people.

Once our tenants have a stable home, HousingPlus offers a range of individualized services to our program participants designed to meet them where they are and put them on the path to achieving their goals.

Housing Plus serves New Yorkers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness or have experienced homelessness whether episodically or chronically. Within this group, we target the most vulnerable including: women and children, gender-diverse people, female Veterans, the justice-involved, and people navigating mental health and substance use disorders.

HousingPlus offers permanent supportive housing with a focus on women and gender-expansive people, and their families. Targeting individuals who have experienced homelessness and/or chronic homelessness, supportive housing offers safe and secure housing surrounded by a range of services which help tenants address the issues that can make them vulnerable to housing insecurity.
